Rent collection & support

We are here to make rent payments easy and to support you if you face financial challenges. Our goal is to prevent you from getting into arrears through open communication and early support, with legal action as a last resort.

Paying your rent

  • Flexible payment options: Choose what works for you—direct debit, standing orders, online, or by phone.
  • Clear statements: You’ll receive regular updates about amounts due, payment options, and important dates.

Rent payments made easy

Tenants

  • Due date: Rent is payable weekly in advance, each Monday.
  • Former tenants: We will try to recover unpaid rent, potentially through court action or debt collection agencies. Rehousing is generally not possible for tenants evicted due to arrears or with unresolved debts.

Leaseholders

Service charges are due monthly or quarterly; if required, we’ll work with mortgage lenders and may take legal action.

Shared Owners

Rent and service charges are due monthly in advance; support is available if needed.

Support if you miss a payment

If you’re struggling, our team will contact you quickly to help prevent arrears. We can create a payment plan that fits your budget. We will help you access benefits and other financial support if you need it. And for those needing additional help, we work with other agencies to help you keep your tenancy.

What happens if arrears build up?

We will reach out quickly if a payment is missed. We only take legal action after all other options are exhausted, and we will continue to offer support throughout.
