Lift safety
Your safety is our top priority. We work hard to ensure that the lifts in your buildings and homes are reliable, safe, and well-maintained. Here’s a quick guide to what we do, and how you can help keep everything running smoothly.
What you need to know:
Regular check-ups & maintenance
We make sure our lifts are checked and maintained by qualified experts regularly.
These checks happen every 6 months or after any major issues (like damage or if the lift has been out of use for a while).
Quick fixes for breakdowns
If a lift breaks down, we will send someone out to fix it as quickly as possible and keep you informed of progress.
If you have specific needs (e.g. you rely on the lift due to a disability), we will assess your situation and take extra care to minimise disruption.
Safety first
We follow all UK laws and best practices to make sure our lifts are safe for everyone.
All repairs and servicing are carried out by fully qualified engineers, so you can trust that the job’s being done right.
Keeping you informed
If there’s a problem with a lift, we will let you know what’s happening and how long it will take to fix it.
For residents who might need extra help (e.g. elderly or disabled residents), we will work with you to make sure you are ok.
How you can help us
If you notice anything wrong with a lift in your building or lifting equipment in your home, please report it right away. It’s important we can get to access to lifting equipment in your home when we need to make checks or repairs. If we need help getting access, we will work with you to sort it out.
Extra support for those who need it
We have Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs) for residents who might need a little extra help in an emergency, like those with disabilities or mobility issues. If you rely on a lift for mobility, get in touch, and we will make sure you get the support you need.
