Support:

Types of rents we offer

Social Rents:
These are calculated using a government formula based on property size, location, and local income. They may include a small adjustment if you live in one of our supported homes. Service charges are charged in addition to the rent.

Affordable Rents:
These are set at up to 80% of the local market rent or the Local Housing Allowance, whichever is lower. These rents are inclusive of service charges.

Fair Rents:
These rents only apply to tenancies that started before January 15, 1989. They are reviewed every two years by the Valuation Office Agency. Service charges are charged in addition to the rent.

Intermediate Rents:
These are set at 80% of local market rent and service charges are charged in addition to the rent.

Shared Ownership Rents:
These are based on your lease agreement and property value at purchase, and they are reviewed yearly. Service charges are charged in addition to the rent.

How we review rents

All rents are reviewed every year to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The IDS Board approves all rent changes each year.
